Wickedly good value for a really solid stayover. Positive: Can i gush about the hospitality of this place?! This company knows what hospitality is about - from the communication from the team before and during our stay, the free biscuits, fantastic quality of the instant coffee and teabags, free canned spring water and flavoured water - and they don't charge you an extra penny for taking all the drinks you need from their fridges. It's extremely well kitted out for a self-catered place! This is such a welcome change to all the hotels and AirBnBs we've stayed in over the years. We'd come back to Berwick-on-Tweed, just to stay in this lovely room and experience a good time! The comms from the team was very detailed and helpful and offered extra bookable services like massages at the room itself if we wanted. We found the location exactly as the team had advertised. Parking discs are provided but this wasn't needed in BoT as the carpark on the harbourfront, just 5 mins walk from the accommodation, was free for 24 hours. It was located on the 'nightlife' street which was full of really lovely bistros, wine bars and restaurants. Super convenient for popping up and down throughout our stay. It was a little noisy being on the 'main street' with the bars below us (with the windows open) - but some noise-cancelling earbuds for sleep easily solved that issue. Monday's bin day so don't be too surprised by the clinking of bottle collection early in the morning! The room came with good thick curtains and they've even restored the cafe shutters which worked well as blackouts for sleeping at night especially as we visited in summer and the sky never quite got dark. The room was bright, light, airy and well-furnished with solid furniture in keeping with the building and tastefully decorated with a fantastic king-sized medium-firm mattress and a smart tv that actually works! Negative: The code was a bit fiddly initially but I guess guests losing access cards can be an expensive problem for a self catered place. There's no lift access - which isn't a problem for us, but if you're lugging heavy equipment or luggage, or need somewhere accessible, this might not be the place for you.

Gorgeous room, lovely additions, excellent location - would highly recommend! Positive: Location was lovely, everything was a short walk away! The room itself was gorgeous and clean. Bed was very comfy and I had a good night's sleep! I loved the additions of the dental kits, slippers, sleep kits, shampoo/conditioner e.t.c. Shower was great. Biscuits and strawberries were a lovely touch! Would definitely recommend! Negative: Only a few minor issues! - Lock to The Library wouldn't always recognise touch, so took a moment to get in occasionally (no issues with the lock to the building). - TV remote was "not supported", and the TV would often disconnect from the internet. Screen also had a fault line. - Dirty bathroom mirror. Did not spoil my stay however!

Positive: Very clean and tidy.some lovely touches.eg.slippers.shortbread and strawberries left in room for us.plus drinks in fridge and dental kits in bathroom. Very central location. Negative: Nothing to report.

Nice comfortable property, would stay again. Positive: The property was very clean and comfortable. The location was great with lots of good restaurants close by. Free parking was available within a hundred yards of the property. Good access to the river bank and town centre. Made contact with the owner, who was very friendly and approachable. Dealt with a small problem quickly and efficiently.
